VERDICT: ACQUITTED
Kevin Garner was charged with the murder of Rahiem Bailey on February 26, 2012. Eric Korslund, argued his client called 911 to report his gun stolen the day Bailey was killed. He pointed out to the jury that Garner had no felony record and a concealed gun permit. Eric Korslund also presented evidence to the jury that a gun was recovered four days after the killing in a routine traffic stop that later ballistically connected a shell casing left at the Bailey shooting scene. The jury ACQUITTED Garner of all charges due to insufficient evidence.
