VERDICT: ACQUITTED
Jaquan Claiborne was accused of murdering Stefan Grimes and seriously injuring his girlfriend on June 25, 2019. Three witnesses in court identified Claiborne as one of the men who broke into Grimes’ home and fired shots. Criminal defense attorney, Eric Korslund, challenged the witnesses identification in court and pointed out to the jury that none of the witnesses picked Claiborne out of a photo line up. He further argued that without the identification, there was no other evidence tying Claiborne to the crime. After a week long jury trial, Claiborne was ACQUITTED of all charges and was released from jail after spending two years in jail awaiting trial. The identification defense was everything the client needed to be acquitted!
