In 1998, Eric Korslund was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant. He was meritoriously promoted to Corporal, participated in the Inauguration of President Clinton, and received numerous awards and medals. Eric then graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science Degree focusing on Environmental Science.
Then, he went on to earn a Juris Doctor from the Appalachian School of Law Cum Laude, with honors. While there he clerked for the Buchanan County Circuit Court for the 29th Judicial District of Virginia and served as the Senior Articles Editor for the school’s law review.
In 2005, Eric Korslund proudly served as an Assistant Public Defender for the City of Norfolk. Then, in 2007, he worked as an Associate Attorney for Zoby & Broccoletti, P.C. Currently, he is a member of the Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, and Norfolk Bar Associations. Eric is also an active member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.
